"Sasqui Goes to Town" is the story of Sasquatch, as he learns who humans are and how they live. He spends time getting to know them, and they form a mutual attachment. Before approaching humans, Sasqui first consults with his forest friends, from whom he gets conflicting opinions and reports. After going to school and a county fair and doing some work as a logger and fireman, as well as getting to know many humans socially, Sasqui ultimately returns to his home and friends in the mountains, but fondly remembers his time spent with humans and plans to go back to see them periodically.
