Logging in Northwestern California in the 1920s
20th Century Scenes in the Styles of Various Artists, Part 7
What I had in mind with “Northwestern California” was Trinity, Mendocino, and Humboldt Counties, where my grandfather Theodore Roosevelt “Pop” Shannon (1902-1979), and later my father, logged, but it could also be other Counties, such as Del Norte, Siskiyou, etc.
Some of these images do look like photographs I’ve seen that were taken in “the woods” in that era, but others contain elements that seem dangerous or even fanciful. Some of these I include, anyway, though, simply because they “look cool.”

After trying both Hello Fresh and Home Chef, we decided on Hello Fresh. They are both good, but Hello Fresh is a little better: lots of variety in meal choices, clear instructions, good ingredients, and a way to “broaden out” and or “spice up” your meals. I felt as if I was making the same twelve things over and over and over again. Hello Fresh helps me “keep things fresh,” so to speak. If interested, this is a link to check it out.
