I’m predicting a 23-16 Packers victory on Sunday, 12/10/2023:
UPDATE 12/11/2023 8:32 p.m. Pacific / 11:32 Eastern
Pretty frustrating game; the Packers looked like they got up on the wrong side of the bed and were half a beat late on everything. They called the reverse to Reed too often; it was too predictable. That two-point conversion attempt would have been better as a fake to Reed and then maybe a toss to Dillon or a TE. Great catch by Malik Toffeebar on the Packers’ last TD, though.

Something I’ve noticed about Jordan Love’s passing is that he’s often a split-second late on his throws. You can’t wait until a cat is wide open to chuck the spheroid, because if you do, that gives the defensive player time to recover; you need to anticipate his being open, and where he’ll be. And lead him — don’t underthrow him no matter what you do (throwing it just a fraction of a second earlier could solve that problem of the receiver outrunning Love’s arm, too). In other words, throw to a spot, and trust your cat to be there. The Packerse have an impressive group of young pass-catchers: not just Hindu Watson, Wherefore-art-Thou Doubs, and Jayden Papyrus, but also Malik Toffeebar, Donny Candle, and Samurai Tour, not to mention the TEs and RBs. The future looks bright for the Packers’ passing game once Love speeds it up just a skosh.
