Packers to Prevail Over Panthers On 12/24/23
But Probably Not By Much
Here’s my prediction:
The Packers are a bit of an enigma wrapped in a mystery enveloped by a conundrum and surrounded by confusion, so nothing would surprise me, but all we innocent bywatchers can do is hope for a good outcome.

Packers win, but just barely, 33-30. Their defense seems to be collapsing, though — against one of the worst teams, who hadn’t scored a TD in decades, they allowed three! And at the end of the game, it could have easily been tied with a FG after two consecutive 22-yard pass completions by the Panters. The DBs must really be playing soft (I couldn’t watch the game, just read what happened). I hate the prevent defense. Show some guts and confidence in your players and let them take some chances! I assume they were playing soft/prevent, especially after the Onion say one of the DBs so far away from the receiver that they had to use the Hubble telescope to locate him. If you play not to lose rather than playing to win, you’re playing with fire and flirting with disaster. Only by the skin of their teeth, it seems, did the Packers eke out a victory today.
