Packers Will (Hopefully) Eke Out a Victory Against the Vie-Kings on 10/29
They Have More Motivation, More Rest & Preparation, and "Home Cooking"
The smart money is probably on Minnesota, as poorly as the Packers have been playing lately, and as impressive as the Vikings were against the 49ers Monday night, but I again predict a win for Green Bay, albeit in a close and relatively low-scoring game, 23-20:
Possible reasons for optimism: 1) Green Bay is coming off a couple of embarrassing losses that should light a fire under them while Minnesota is coming off a possibly complacency-engendering victory. 2) Green Bay has a day or day-and-a-half more rest and preparation time, and 3) they are playing in the cozy confines of the Cheesedome, so … maybe, just maybe, that will be enough to turn the tide.
Unfortunately, injuries just keep piling up for Green Bay. Every team has injuries, sure, and you can’t use them as excuses, granted, but it seems the Packers have more than they do most years and more than just about any other team has presently. But as they say, “it is what it is.”
’Nuff said, I guess.
UPDATE SUNDAY 10/29/2023
This is really getting monotonous; too little, too late. The defense is pretty good, but the offense is putrid. The Packers lose again, and this time it wasn’t close (24-10).
