Nothing especially noteworthy happened on this date (in my opinion/that I know of). A few interesting things did, it’s true (such as Henry Hudson being set adrift by mutineers in 1611, a newsboy finding a message to a spy in a hollowed-out nickel in 1953, and the scalawag Whitey Bulger being arrested in 2011), but none of those things seem worth expanding on to me.
