What caption would you give the picture above? What are the Scarlet Macaw and Bengal Tiger saying to each other?
Think about that, then read the prompt I gave AI to generate the image below.
Are you surprised? Does there seem to you that there’s a mismatch between the prompt and the image? Did you expect to witness acrimony between the two animals in the image?
The prompt I provided was:
a scarlet macaw and a bengal tiger arguing over which one of them is more beautiful
Based on that description/prompt, what would you now say the two beautiful creatures are saying to each other—each one promoting itself as the most beautiful?
Actually, two of the other images generated from that prompt seem to go along with this way of thinking:
…but how about this: There is another way to interpret the prompt (a scarlet macaw and a bengal tiger arguing over which one of them is more beautiful). Note that it doesn’t specify which side of the issue they are arguing. It could very well be that they are advocating for each other—the Scarlet Macaw telling Stripes that he is the most beautiful, while Stripes disagrees, saying that Scarlet is really the most beautiful in the jungle.
My point: Animosity isn’t a requirement in a debate. It is possible to advocate for your “adversary.”
