Working on the Railroad in Missouri in the 1920s
20th Century Scenes in the Styles of Various Artists, Part 8
My grandfather Albert Benjamin Lee Kollenborn (1907-1984) was born in north-central Missouri (between Twian’s hometown of Hannibal and Kansas City). He left home at 12 years of age, passed for 16 (he was big for his age, or they didn’t care as long as he was willing to and could work hard) and worked for the railroad in Missouri and neighboring States. Here are some pictures that may be similar to what he was familiar with during that period of his life.
Roy Lichtenstein
Rembrandt von Rijn
Henri Rousseau
Winslow Homer
Paul Detlefsen
Grant Wood
Norman Rockwell
Georgia O’Keefe
Jack Kirby
Walt Disney
After trying both Hello Fresh and Home Chef, we decided on Hello Fresh. They are both good, but Hello Fresh is a little better: lots of variety in meal choices, clear instructions, good ingredients, and a way to “broaden out” and or “spice up” your meals. I felt as if I was making the same twelve things over and over and over again. Hello Fresh helps me “keep things fresh,” so to speak. If interested, this is a link to check it out.
